Dartmouth & District Pipe Band is going to the Temple Bar TradFest in Dublin, Ireland. You can help us get there by buying a ticket to our fundraiser. Tickets are $25 and includes admission, live music, 2 bevys, door prizes! Tickets go on sale 10-Nov-2010 and are available through band members, at the Music Nova Scotia office (302-5516 Spring Garden Road) and Mighty Auto (1108 Cole Harbour Road) or you can reserve your tickets by emailing info@dartmouthpipeband.com or calling 902-452-PIPE (7473). Remember, guests must be of legal drinking age to attend.

Our grade 5 band will be performing at the 1st Annual Fall Extravaganza supporting the Greene School of Irish Dance. Sunday, November 7, 2010, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm United Memorial Church, 5350 Young St, Halifax Live Music, Silent Auction, Refreshments and Irish Dance Demonstrations All are welcome to attend to and support this event!

There will a lot of great items available for the silent auction. One item up for auction is a small water colour called: "The Dartmouth & District Pipe Band practising down at Sullivan's Pond under the watchful eye of Scott Long and Co."

Awards Night/Annual General Meeting

Wednesday, October 27 at 7:30 PM is Dartmouth & District Pipe Band's Annual Awards Night at St James church hall. The evening is a chance for the band to congratulate its members on their achievements over the past year. There will be a short concert, awards will be presented and snacks will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. The Annual General Meeting is being held directly before the awards night festivities at 6:00 PM, also at St James church hall. All parents and members are welcome to attend.

Note from the school: There will be no official classes on Wednesday, October 27, but we do hope that all students, instructors and families will join us that evening.
